Benefits from HBOT
Rated as the 5th most effective of biomedical therapies, HBOT has shown to improve sensory issues, motor skills, digestive problems, speech skills, frontal and emotional reactions, and social deficits.
Several studies show improvements in cerebral hypoperfusion, inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress in children with autism spectrum disorder. It is also reported that the children were calmer, more affectionate and more verbal after HBOT treatments. More studies looking into the efficacy of HBOT for autism spectrum disorder are starting after the positive results from the most recent studies.
